It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Andrew Gordon Clark passed away peacefully on the 9th of November after a short illness.
There will be a funeral service at St George’s church Edington on Monday the 2nd of December at 12:30pm followed by a private family burial at St Peter’s church Catcott.
Mourners are invited to join the family for refreshments afterwards at the Crown Inn Catcott.
Andrew was for many years and, until very recently, a familiar face as organist at the local churches. He was also, for many years, Director of Music in the Polden Wheel group of churches and ran the choir at St Peter’s back in the day. He also presented St Peter’s with it’s lovely new Johannes organ.
He was also involved in “Open The Book” performances at Catcott Primary School in which he often played the role of God to great effect.
He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife Diana.
