Defibrillators

There are two local automatic defibrillators. One is on Manor Road in Catcott next to the pound.

An automatic external defibrillator is a small portable electronic device that analyses the heart rhythm and delivers a shock only if it is needed.

Minor Injury Units

There are minor injuries units at Glastonbury and Bridgewater. Both are open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm and can treat minor wounds, sprains, minor broken bones, burns, scalds, insect bites, minor eye injuries, and other minor injuries.

Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre offers NHS patients a range of treatments and diagnostic services on a day-care basis. There are no in-patients. The centre is run by an independent company but only treats NHS patients.
