Over 15 varied and picturesque private gardens will open for this one-day event.
This Open Garden event is a well-loved and significant part of the village heritage attracting 200 to 300 visitors.
Visitors always comment how much they appreciate being able to explore the different garden styles, view and appreciate such a variety of cherished plants in gardens ranging from huge to lovingly cared-for pocket handkerchief in size … making this such a very special event.
Route guide pamphlets list and map each of the many open gardens along with a short summary of each garden.. but seeing is believing.
In addition to exploring the gardens, visitors will find: Ample car parking: Refreshments: Bacon Rolls (12.30/14.00): Wheeler family vintage limousines offering special conveyance around the village: Free black taxi for ‘stop me & drop-off’ route transport : Local ice cream sales: Scarecrows displayed around the village: School wood-fired Pizzas (time TBC): Plant sales: Cream Teas and climb St Peters Church Tower (extra fees): Children friendly treasure hunt.
Dogs on short leads allowed in most gardens, as indicated on pamphlet route map
£8 per adult. Children free. Start point Village Hall (TA7 9HA). Entry wrist band payment c/card. On-route refreshments mainly cash with Start-point refreshments cash or credit card.
