Our Local MP Tessa Munt visited Catcott at 2pm on Sunday 19th April to officially declare the Catcott defibrillator up and running.

Villagers gathered to greet their local MP as she opened the defibrillator which was purchased by the Village Association and installed with financial help from the Parish Council. Tessa then stayed for a while for tea and cake and to chat with members of the Village Association Committee and the Chair of the Parish Council.
Villagers were very pleased that Tessa was able to make the visit and show her support for rural villages and the community spirit and fund raising that enables facilities like the defibrillator to be made available. Without the work of the Village Association and the Parish Council, or the support of folk who open their gardens or volunteer to make the annual Open Gardens event such a success, this potentially life saving device would not be available.
