Remember back when we were clapping for carers in the early days of the pandemic? Well now the Catcott Village Association are coordinating a project called “From Clapping to Baking” where the intention is to send cakes and biscuits to the staff in all departments of Musgrove Park Hospital to keep up their morale over what is likely to be a difficult winter. Catcott is joined by Ashcott, Shapwick, Edington, Burtle and Chilton Polden and each week throughout the winter months we will be asking villagers to bake cakes and biscuits which we will deliver to Musgrove Park Hospital each Thursday. Each village will be asked to bake in turn so that volunteer bakers will only be required to bake once a month.
