The weather looked kindly on Catcott on Monday night when the village came alive with the sounds of Christmas as the Burtle Silver Band and Martin lead a large gathering around the village Christmas tree in singing a series of favourite traditional Carols.
The children were in good voice when it came to singing a verse or two on their own.
Children who came with lanterns were rewarded with treats and afterwards everyone enjoyed mince pies, sausage rolls and mulled wine arranged by the Catcott Village Association.
Thanks go to Janet for arranging the tree, to Gerry and his helpers for raising the tree, and to the Parish Council who funded the tree.
Thanks also to all who supplied mince pies and sausage rolls and mulled wine, all of which were very much enjoyed by those present.
