Hundreds of visitors are expected to join villagers for the event which is organised by the Catcott Village Association. They will be transported between the gardens in a fleet of vintage cars provided by Vintage Wheels of Catcott. Unlimited rides are included in the ticket price and are what makes Catcott Open Gardens a unique event.

The cars operate a hop on-hop off service between the gardens through the afternoon starting from the Village Hall, Edington.

There will be a number of stalls outside the Village Hall selling plants and other items. Refreshments and ice creams will be available.

Visitors can vote for their favourite garden as they make their way round the village.

The beautiful 13th Century church will be open and, weather permitting, visitors over the age of 8 years will be able to ascend the tower for a small donation to gain a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside from Weston to Wells and Glastonbury.

Tickets cost £7.50 and include entry to the gardens and as many rides in the cars as you like. Children under 15 are free. The tickets are available from CVA member Janet Holden and Carol Clark or on the day at the Village Hall Edington.

The money raised is used by the CVA to put on events for the village, subsidise the Over 60’s Lunch, put flowers in planters around the village and support village groups and organisations.

A proportion of each ticket price is donated to charities chosen by Gerry Wheeler whose Vintage Wheels business supplies the cars that make Catcott Open Gardens unique.
